AA Rental Center is open 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM Monday thru Saturday and 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM Sunday. In January and February (only) our hours are reduced.

When should I make my party reservation?
Early planning ensures rental items availability. Once you have the date and an approximate guest count, it's never too soon to reserve items for your event.
General tools and Equipment are not reserved and are on a first come, first serve basis.
We need a reasonable lead time for linens and portable toilets. The earlier the better. The bathrooms usually arrive on a Friday 8am-5:30pm and get picked up on a Monday. Placement details are needed when giving order.
How do I hold the party items I am ordering or reserving?
To book items for an event date, we require a 50% deposit when the reservation is made. The balance is due one week prior to your scheduled event.
How and when do I pay?
Half of your order total is due when the reservation is made, with the balance due one week before your scheduled event. Delivery orders must be paid in full before the scheduled delivery date.
We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. We do not accept personal checks unless given two weeks in advance.
How does rental pricing work?
Equipment and General tool rental rates are based on a 24-hour day starting when the item is rented. We charge for the time out, not the time used nor the success of the project. Some items rent on an hourly basis as well as a daily price. We also have weekly and monthly rates.
Pricing for party goods is more flexible: items can be picked up the day before the event, returned the day afterward, and a 1-day price will apply.
Tent rentals for most events are priced for one day, although we normally set up a day or two ahead and take down a day or so afterward. For example, in summer months for Saturday event we set up on a Wednesday/Thursday/Friday and pick up Sunday or Monday.
What if I need to modify or cancel my order?
Reserved party items are taken from stock several days before the rental or delivery date. An order may be increased if the items are available. Decreasing or canceling your order within a week of the event date will be subject to a 50% restocking fee. Canceling the order under 72 hours is subject to 100% full cost.
If you cancel a tent order, your deposit is non-refundable. If your tent rental event is postponed due to severe weather, your deposit applies for the new date within the calendar year.A deposit for canceled linens or portable toilets is not refundable.
Is there a charge for delivery and pickup?
AA Rental Center delivers and picks up tents and party goods. Transit costs are based on distance from our location to your site and will be quoted as part of your order. We deliver at ground level and stack items in your yard or loading dock and must pick up stacked at the same location.
We can deliver and pick up outside of normal hours for weddings and event venues, festivals, block parties, events in the Forest Preserves, etc.; please call for a quote for special labor rates.
We do not deliver or pick up General equipment or tools.
When will my order be delivered and picked up?
We generally deliver one to two days before your event and pick up one to two days afterward. This may be subject to adjustment during peak seasons or due to severe weather.
What if I'm not home for the delivery or pickup?
We ordinarily stack items in your yard or on your shipping dock. If necessary, please arrange for gates to be unlocked.
What kind of service can I expect when the truck arrives?
Standard delivery charges apply to tailgate drop off to your yard or loading dock. If delivery is to be made to a specific floor or area, additional charges will apply. Please call for a quote prior to your event date. These arrangements must be made in advance, because our crew may not have adequate time, additional equipment, or staffing for the circumstances involved.Our staff are instructed to neatly stack all items in a mutually convenient place. Special containers are provided for glassware, china, etc. to ensure these items are received clean, undamaged, and table-ready.
What are my responsibilities after my event has been held?
After your event, please stack the items in the place where they were delivered. Rental linens are provided with return bags in which the linens should be placed. Please rinse clean plates, tableware, and glassware and put them in the delivery containers.
Will my rental equipment be set up and taken down?
AA Rental sets up and takes down frame tents. We also set up our rental staging, pipe and drape units, and dance floors.
Setup and take down of other items is available at an additional charge. Please make arrangements with our office staff for this when placing your order.
What do I need to know about tent installations on my property?
Please contact our office for information regarding tent rentals and related items. We will need to know the approximate size of your yard, whether the tent will be on lawn or a hard surface, and whether there are power lines, trees, or underground sprinkler piping that may affect the installation. Tents require minimum 3’ extra on all sides.
Signs or banners may not be affixed to the tent peak, top, or walls. Please do not use duct tape to attach items to the tent. Cooking, campfires, or use of other combustible devices or materials are not allowed under the tent.
Please have lawn mowing, sprinkling, insect control spraying, pet waste removal, etc. completed before your tent installation date.
We can install the tent if you are not at home if you mark the site. (cones, chairs, anything that is clearly delineates the desire tent location.)We may adjust the location for trees, overhead wires, or underground sprinkler piping if necessary.
Can I pick up my order at your business location?
Yes. All items except frame tents and dance floors may be picked up and returned to our Melrose Park location.
AA Rental always has tables and chairs in stock and reservations for pickup orders are not necessary.
I'm interested in purchasing rental items. Do you ever sell them?
Yes. We sell what we rent both new and used.
My lawn mower or snow blower needs repairs. Do you do that?
Yes. We repair lawn mowers, snow blowers, generators, leaf blowers, and other machines with small gas engines. Often, repairs or a replacement engine costs less than a new machine. Our labor rate is $80 hour. We take $40 down to assess the machine and that payment goes towards the repair if you choose to have it serviced.
